Scrapbook 2009-Present

2009

A new supergroup made of members of YES & Toto is formed and releases a debut album on Frontiers called "Elements".  The bands name would be made of elements of both bands.  YOSO embarked on a 3 year world tour in 2009 with Paul as front of house engineer and tour manager. A press conference in Mexico kicked off the tour along with a sold out arena show.

2009

WCSL provides production for Disney's High School Musical.

2009

Once again, more space is needed.  WCSL moves into 1295 N Emerald. Ave., and would be here for 12 years.

2010

Bruno Mars.  We've always had a saying at WCSL, we get em' on the way up, and we get em' on the way down.  There have been times when we get an artist right at that mass tipping point.  Bruno Mars and No Doubt come to mind.  We caught both acts right at that magic moment when they were both hitting.

2011

Slim Man releases the studio album Thousand Miles Away which features a live bonus track from a WCSL show.  It's met with favorable reviews from the fans and plans are hatched to release an entire live Slim man CD featuring material from numerous WCSL shows recorded throughout Slimmy's history with the company.

2012

WCSL rings in 2012 LIVE around the world by broadcasting a live pay per view Circa show from its Modesto facility.  In three short months the plan came to fruition from a simple call from Billy Sherwood from YES to a full blown streamed show on New Years Eve.  "Sure we can do it Billy, how hard could it be?"

2012

The Slim Man Live album featuring tracks recorded by Paul throughout Slim Man's career is compiled and released.  The CD is a direct to digital high fidelity recording documenting a decade in Slim Man's history.

2013

2013 is a crazy year of big time nationals.  DEVO, Alice Cooper, Apl de Ap, Chris Issak, Circa, Marilyn Manson, Rascal Flatts, and so many others.

2014

2014 saw the largest WCSL show on record.  It would be one of the final shows in the LA Convention Center.  The company provides sound & lights for the Filipino Channel's 20th anniversary broadcast with a star studded lineup.  Setup took about a week. The event utilized 95 fly-points and we proudly maxed out the power in the arena.  When the show went live and the 15,000 sold out capacity crowd let loose, it was frightening.

2015

The cream of the crop in country music returned to WCSL in 2015 as we provided full production for Andy Grammar.

2016

Over the years WCSL has been no stranger to political figures, Bush, Cheney, Colin Powell, the list goes on. In 2016 we provided production for Bernie Sanders at a number of California stops including the biggest in San Francisco.

2016-2019

2016-2019 saw a string of arena shows with bands like Anthrax, breaking Benjamin, VolBeat, Shinedown and Slayer.

2020

2020 was a big year for Bloodgood.  The band's documentary Trenches of Rock was released to the public and Bloodgood celebrated with it's first hometown Seattle show in over two decades.  Needless to say, the event sold out.  Leslie Doty came back as the bands lighting designer, the first show behind the console since Bloodgood played Northern California on the All Stand Together tour.  Paul returned as front of house engineer and show production designer.

2020-2022

Covid 19 lays waist to the worlds touring sound & light industry.  WCSL watches a vast number of production companies close their doors under the pressure of trying to sustain a business through the worst calamity the live event industry would have to face in our lifetime.  WCSL's two largest competitors to the north and south close their doors.  WCSL suspends all live events and becomes Northern California's largest DIR Public Works installation subcontractor.  The two year period is filled with school, government, and church tech installations.  In 2022 the floodgates re-open on live entertainment and WCSL is ready.
